Backdrop CMS includes three pre-defined types of content: Pages, Posts, and Cards. Custom content types can also be added.
A Card can only be seen as part of another page. Place them individually as "Existing content" Blocks, or grouped as in a View.
Use the home page layout to specifically customize this page. These Cards only appear on this layout.
As I restart the different CMS sandboxes on my server, I wasnt originally sure what kind of things I wanted to test, or what kinds of content display I wanted to think about (in terms of design). However, there is the matter of needing to find a replacement for a series of galleries on one of the websites that I have worked on.
Looked at a few core functions of Backdrop, and decided upon a few modules to install which correspond to the "base/important" types of modules I was installing back in the Drupal 7 days. CKEditor was part of the core, with version 4 backwards compatibility.
Added a book page entry with Backdrop's core function. I want to add Wiki and Tutorial type things to my use case list. I have left the sample cards up, and will compare its setup, to see how much I need to configure display/layout settings.
The About page might turn into a building list...
Today I rolled out my first bit of framework on the new server. Set up the first database and enjoying the fact that my LAMP stack is more up to date than what I could do with the old server.
